1. 처리하는 항목

• 로그인하지 않고 쓸 때: 앱이 스스로 기기 밖으로 보내는 정보가 없습니다(광고는 8칸). 단어장, 단어, 복습 기록, 설정은 모두 기기 안에서 동작합니다. 사진 · 카메라 · 마이크 · 위치 · 연락처를 쓰지 않습니다.
• 모두 ID로 로그인하면: 로그인은 고를 수 있고, 하지 않아도 모든 기능을 씁니다. 로그인은 기기의 브라우저 창에서 하고, 이 앱에는 가입 화면도 비밀번호 칸도 없습니다. 로그인 창을 열 때 앱은 화면 언어와 기기의 언어 설정(다섯 개까지, 예: 한국어, 영어)을 모두 ID에 알립니다. 로그인 화면을 그 언어로 띄우기 위해서입니다. 로그인이 끝나면 앱은 모두 ID에서 그 사람의 회원 번호, 아이디, 이메일 주소를 전달받습니다. 기기에는 회원 번호와 아이디만 적어 둡니다. 이메일 주소는 적지 않습니다. 모두 ID가 준 로그인 확인 값(토큰)은 누구인지 묻는 데 한 번 쓰고 기기에 두지 않습니다. 이 판의 앱은 본체(modoo.io)에 기록을 보내지 않습니다. 로그인해도 앱은 기록을 다른 기기로 옮기거나 계정에 올리지 않습니다. 기록은 이 기기에 저장됩니다(기기의 백업을 켜 두었다면 운영체제가 그 백업에 넣을 수 있습니다 — 7칸). 다른 계정으로 바꿔 들어온 것을 알아보려고, 이 기기에서 로그인했던 회원 번호를 둘까지(마지막 번호와 그 앞의 번호) 기기에 남깁니다(이름이나 이메일이 아닌 번호). 로그아웃해도 남고, 「이 기기의 기록 지우기」를 하면 지웁니다(로그인한 채라면 지금 회원 번호만 남깁니다).
• 기기에만 남는 것: 단어장(이름, 앞면 · 뒷면의 말, 하루 새 단어 수, 새 단어 순서, 만든 때, 앱에 든 단어 목록에서 만들었으면 그 목록의 표시). 단어(단어, 뜻, 예문, 메모, 별 표시, 단어 목록에서 담았으면 그 목록의 표시와 고쳤는지, 만든 때와 고친 때). 복습 기록(단어마다 다음에 볼 날과 그 날을 정하는 값 — 기억의 안정도와 어려움, 복습한 횟수, 잊은 횟수, 마지막으로 복습한 때, 처음 배운 날). 판정할 때마다의 이력은 남기지 않습니다. 휴지통(지운 단어와 단어장, 지운 때). 「단어 넣기」 · 고치기 창에 쓰던 글 — 넣거나 고치면, 또는 「버리기」를 누르면 지웁니다. 담은 단어 목록의 출처(이름, 판, 주소, 사용권). 설정(화면 언어, 하루의 시작 시각, 매일 복습 알림을 켰는지와 그 시각, 읽어 주기의 영어 발음과 읽는 빠르기, 밀린 복습을 며칠에 나눠 보기로 했는지와 그 진행). 기록 파일의 바로 전에 저장한 판 한 벌 — 저장 중에 파일이 깨지면 그 판으로 되살립니다. 읽지 못한 기록 파일은 지우지 않고 앱 안에 따로 둡니다(설정의 「따로 둔 파일」). Android의 홈 화면 위젯에 보일 글(그날 볼 단어 수와 먼저 볼 단어 두 개의 앞면, 앞으로 두 달쯤의 날마다) — 위젯을 홈 화면에 놓지 않아도 앱이 이 글을 기기의 앱 폴더에 적어 둡니다. 뜻, 예문, 메모, 단어장 이름, 휴지통의 단어, 모두 ID는 넣지 않습니다. 매일 복습 알림을 켰다면 걸어 둔 알림(시각과 「복습할 단어 ○개가 기다려요」라는 글) — Android는 기기의 알림 예약 저장소에 둡니다. 로그인했다면 회원 번호와 아이디, 그리고 로그인했던 회원 번호(위 「모두 ID로 로그인하면」).
• 그 사람이 누를 때만 기기 밖으로 나가는 것: 아래는 모두 그 사람이 그 단추를 누를 때만 기기의 공유 창이나 다른 앱에 넘깁니다. 어디에 두고 누구에게 보낼지는 그 사람이 고르고, 앱은 모두의 서버에 올리지 않습니다. 「기록 내보내기」는 단어장, 단어(복습 기록, 메모, 별 표시 포함), 담은 목록의 출처를 백업 파일 하나와 사람이 읽는 글 파일 하나(단어, 뜻, 예문)로 만듭니다. 휴지통, 쓰던 글, 설정, 회원 번호와 아이디는 넣지 않습니다. 「읽지 못한 파일 꺼내기」 · 「파일 그대로 꺼내기」는 앱이 기록 파일을 읽지 못했을 때(깨졌거나, 더 새 판의 앱이 쓴 것) 그 파일을 고치지 않고 그대로 넘깁니다. 그 파일에는 기록 전부(휴지통, 쓰던 글, 설정, 로그인했다면 회원 번호와 아이디)가 들어 있습니다. 설정의 「따로 둔 파일」은 앱이 따로 둔 파일이 있을 때만 보이고, 그 파일을 고치지 않고 그대로 넘깁니다. 든 것은 위와 같습니다. 이 파일들에는 암호가 걸려 있지 않습니다. 로그인하지 않아도 씁니다. 보내거나 내보낼 때 앱은 넘길 파일을 앱 안의 임시 폴더에 잠깐 둡니다. 다음에 내보내기 직전, 하루가 지난 뒤 앱을 켜거나 날이 바뀔 때, 「이 기기의 기록 지우기」 때 지웁니다. 「기록 들이기」는 그 사람이 고른 백업 파일을 기기 안에서 읽어 이 기기의 기록에 합칩니다. 이 기기의 기록은 지우지 않고(같은 기록이 둘이면 더 새로 고친 쪽으로 · 휴지통에 있던 것이 파일에 있으면 되살립니다), 쓰던 글 · 설정 · 로그인에는 손대지 않습니다. 고른 파일을 읽으려고 앱 안에 베낀 사본은 읽은 바로 뒤 지웁니다. 「문의하기」는 기기의 메일 앱을 열어 받는 사람(apps@modoo.io), 제목(앱 이름과 판), 본문의 끝줄(앱 판, 기기의 운영체제와 그 판, 화면 언어)을 채워 둡니다. 보내기 전에 고칠 수 있고, 보내는 것은 그 사람이 메일 앱에서 합니다. 「단어 듣기」 등 소리 단추는 단어의 앞면이나 예문을 기기의 음성 엔진(Android의 텍스트 음성 변환 · iPhone의 음성)에 넘깁니다. 뜻과 메모는 넘기지 않습니다. 앱은 이 글을 서버로 보내지 않습니다. 다만 Android의 음성 엔진은 기기에 깔린 다른 앱이라, 그 엔진이 인터넷 음성을 쓰게 설정되어 있으면 엔진이 글을 기기 밖으로 보낼 수 있습니다.
• 광고: 첫 공개 판부터 광고 사업자(Google)가 앱 안의 광고 도구(SDK)로 자동 수집할 수 있는 정보가 있습니다(8칸).

2. 처리 목적

기록은 그 사람이 영어 단어를 적어 두고 복습 일정에 맞춰 다시 보는 데만 씁니다. 복습 기록은 다음에 볼 날을 정하는 데 씁니다. 알림은 그 사람이 켰을 때 그날 볼 단어 수를 알리는 데 씁니다. 로그인은 이 기기를 쓰는 사람이 어느 모두 ID 인지 알아 두는 데 씁니다 — 이 판에서는 설정에 아이디를 보이고 모두 ID 탈퇴 쪽으로 가는 길을 여는 데까지입니다. 광고, 통계, 맞춤 추천에 쓰지 않습니다. 기록을 읽어 분석하지 않습니다.

3. 보유 기간

기기 안의 기록은 그 사람이 지우거나 앱을 지울 때까지 기기에 있습니다. 지운 단어와 단어장은 휴지통에 30일 있다가 앱이 아주 지웁니다(앱을 켤 때나 날이 바뀔 때). 앱을 지우면 운영체제가 앱 폴더를 함께 지웁니다(기기의 백업에 들어간 사본은 그 백업을 따릅니다 — 7칸). 쓰던 글과 보내거나 내보낼 때 잠깐 둔 파일은 위 1칸의 때에 지웁니다. 모두 ID의 회원 정보는 모두 ID의 방침을 따릅니다. 이 앱은 본체에 기록을 두지 않습니다.

4. 제3자 제공

제공하지 않습니다. 그 사람이 공유 창에서 받는 곳을 골라 보낸 것은 그 사람이 보낸 것입니다.

5. 처리 위탁

없습니다. 로그인은 모두 ID(mid.modoo.io)가 합니다. 광고 사업자(Google)가 앱 안의 광고 도구로 수집하는 정보는 회사가 맡기는 처리가 아니어서 여기에 넣지 않습니다(8칸).

6. 국외 이전

없습니다. 이 앱은 기록을 서버로 보내지 않습니다. 로그인할 때 주고받는 것은 모두 ID의 방침을 따릅니다. Android의 음성 엔진이 인터넷 음성을 쓰게 설정되어 있을 때 그 엔진이 하는 일은 그 엔진의 방침을 따릅니다. 광고 사업자(Google)가 앱 안의 광고 도구로 수집하는 정보는 회사가 넘기는 것이 아니어서 여기에 넣지 않습니다(8칸).

7. 쿠키 · 기기 저장소 · 기기 권한

• 쿠키: 앱은 쿠키를 쓰지 않습니다. 로그인 창은 기기의 브라우저이고, 그 브라우저의 쿠키는 브라우저와 모두 ID의 방침을 따릅니다(iPhone은 로그인 창이 사파리의 로그인 상태를 함께 씁니다).
• 기기 저장소: 1칸의 「기기에만 남는 것」을 이 앱의 폴더에 파일로 둡니다. 회원 번호와 아이디는 기록 파일의 설정 칸에 함께 둡니다. 기기의 백업(Android의 구글 백업 · iPhone의 iCloud 기기 백업)을 켜 두었다면 운영체제가 이 파일들을 백업에 넣을 수 있습니다 — 그 백업으로 새 기기를 채우면 로그인한 채로 열릴 수 있습니다.
• 기기 권한: 인터넷(모두 ID 로그인과 광고), 알림(「매일 복습 알림」을 켤 때만 묻습니다), 기기를 다시 켠 뒤 걸어 둔 알림을 다시 걸기, 알림 진동입니다. Android에서는 광고 SDK가 네트워크 상태 확인, 광고 ID(AD_ID), Android 광고 서비스(ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID · ATTRIBUTION · TOPICS), 기기 깨움 유지(WAKE_LOCK), 포그라운드 서비스(FOREGROUND_SERVICE — SDK 안쪽 작업) 권한을 더하며, 모두 묻지 않는 권한입니다. 광고 식별자는 iPhone · iPad에서 쓰지 않고(추적 허용 창을 띄우지 않습니다), Android에서는 광고 SDK가 광고 ID를 씁니다(8칸). 사진 · 카메라 · 마이크 · 위치 · 연락처 권한을 묻지 않습니다.
• 알림: 매일 복습 알림은 처음에 꺼져 있습니다. 켜면 정한 시각에 「복습할 단어 ○개가 기다려요」가 뜹니다 — 단어 자체는 넣지 않습니다. 볼 단어가 없는 날에는 뜨지 않습니다. 잠금 화면에 보일지는 기기의 알림 설정을 따릅니다.
• 홈 화면 위젯(Android): 위젯을 홈 화면에 놓으면 그날 볼 단어 수와 먼저 볼 단어 두 개의 앞면이 기기의 홈 화면에 보입니다(그 글은 기기의 홈 화면 앱이 그립니다). 홈 화면은 다른 사람도 볼 수 있습니다.

8. 광고

첫 공개 판부터 Google AdMob의 앱 오픈 광고 하나만 싣습니다 — 자주 쓰는 분께만(앱을 깐 지 7일이 지나고 연 날이 5일을 넘은 뒤), 30분 넘게 나갔다가 아이콘으로 돌아올 때 하루에 한 번. 처음 며칠과 첫 실행 안내 전에는 광고가 없고, 하던 일(첫 화면 위에 연 화면 · 창 · 쓰던 글) 위에는 덮지 않습니다. 자체 홍보 광고와 보상형 광고는 첫 판에 없고, 이용 통계 도구, 오류 수집 도구, 결제 · 구독은 넣지 않았습니다.

• 광고 사업자: Google LLC(Google AdMob) — 앱을 켤 때 하루 한 번까지 보이는 광고를 고르고 보입니다.
• 앱이 하는 일: 앱을 깐 때, 연 날의 수, 마지막으로 연 날, 앱을 나간 때, 광고를 보인 때와 그날의 수를 이 기기 안에서만 세어 광고를 보일지 정합니다. 앱은 이 수를 어디로도 보내지 않으며(회사로도 보내지 않습니다), 앱을 지우면 함께 지워집니다. 단어장, 단어, 복습 기록은 광고 요청에 싣지 않습니다.
• 광고 사업자가 앱 안의 광고 도구(SDK)로 자동 수집할 수 있는 것: 기기의 광고 ID(Android), IP 주소(대략적인 위치), 기기와 앱 정보, 광고 노출과 클릭, 광고 도구의 진단 · 비정상 종료 정보. iPhone · iPad에서는 앱이 추적 허용을 묻지 않아 광고 식별자(IDFA)를 쓰지 않습니다.
• 목적: 광고를 보이고, 광고 성과를 재고, 부정 클릭을 막습니다. 동의와 지역에 따라 맞춤형 광고에도 씁니다.
• 누가 받나 · 보유 기간: Google이 자기 개인정보처리방침에 따라 처리하고 보관합니다. 회사는 이 정보를 받지 않습니다.
• 동의(유럽 경제 지역 · 영국 · 스위스): 이 지역의 이용자에게는 Google의 동의 창(UMP)을 먼저 보이고, 그 단계를 마친 뒤에만 광고를 청합니다. 동의하지 않으면 맞춤이 아닌 광고(이 앱 · 대략의 위치 · 시간 같은 값으로 고름)가 보이며, 고른 것에 따라 광고가 더 제한될 수 있습니다.
• 거부 · 바꾸는 길: Android: 기기 설정 › Google › 광고에서 광고 ID를 삭제하거나 재설정할 수 있습니다. 유럽 경제 지역 · 영국 · 스위스: 앱 설정의 「개인정보 · 광고 선택」(이 지역에서만 보입니다)에서 고른 것을 바꿀 수 있습니다.
• 더 보기: Google 개인정보처리방침(https://policies.google.com/privacy) · Google이 광고를 고르는 방법(https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) · Google이 자기 서비스를 쓰는 앱에서 받은 정보를 쓰는 방법(https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

이 칸은 앱 안에 자동 수집 장치(광고 SDK)를 두고 운영하는 것과 그것을 거부하는 방법을 알리는 것입니다(개인정보 보호법 제30조 제1항 제7호). 회사가 Google에 정보를 넘기거나 처리를 맡기는 것이 아니어서 5칸(처리 위탁)과 6칸(국외 이전)에는 넣지 않았습니다.

9. 지우는 길

• 단어 · 단어장 지우기: 휴지통으로 옮깁니다. 30일 안에는 단어장 탭의 「휴지통」에서 되살릴 수 있고, 30일이 지나면 앱이 아주 지웁니다(그 단어의 쓰던 글도 함께).
• 한 단어의 「복습 기록 지우기」: 그 단어를 아직 안 본 새 단어로 되돌립니다. 단어와 뜻은 그대로이고, 지운 복습 기록은 되살릴 수 없습니다(바로 전 판에도 남기지 않습니다).
• 「이 기기의 기록 지우기」(설정): 이 기기의 단어장, 단어, 복습 기록, 휴지통, 쓰던 글, 담은 목록의 출처, 기록 파일의 바로 전 판과 따로 둔 파일, 보내거나 내보낼 때 잠깐 둔 파일, 로그인했던 회원 번호를 지웁니다. 홈 화면 위젯의 글도 비우고, 볼 단어가 없어지니 걸어 둔 알림도 없어집니다. 설정(화면 언어, 알림 등)과 로그인 상태는 그대로 둡니다. 휴지통을 거치지 않아 되살릴 수 없고, 지우기 전에 「기록 내보내기」로 파일을 만들어 둘 수 있습니다.
• 로그아웃: 기기에 둔 회원 번호와 아이디를 지웁니다. 기록은 그대로입니다. 로그인했던 회원 번호(마지막 번호와 그 앞의 번호)는 「이 기기의 기록 지우기」 때 지웁니다.
• 모두 ID 탈퇴: 설정의 「모두 ID 탈퇴」(로그인했을 때만 보입니다)는 본체의 탈퇴 화면(https://modoo.io/user/withdraw)을 기기의 브라우저로 엽니다. 이 기기의 기록은 지우지 않습니다.
• 앱 지우기: 앱을 지우면 이 기기의 기록은 지워집니다. 기기 백업을 켜 두었다면 백업에 남은 기록은 다시 깔 때 돌아올 수 있습니다.

앱에서 지운 기록은 앱에서 되돌릴 수 없습니다. 다만 기기 백업(Android의 Google 백업 · iPhone의 iCloud 백업)을 켜 두었고 지우기 전에 백업이 만들어졌다면, 앱을 다시 설치하거나 기기를 그 백업으로 되살릴 때 지운 기록이 돌아올 수 있습니다. 지운 뒤에 만들어진 백업에는 지운 기록이 담기지 않습니다. 기기 백업은 이용자의 Google · Apple 계정에 암호화되어 저장되며, 회사는 그 백업에 접근하지 못합니다. 기기 백업은 기기의 설정에서 끄거나 지울 수 있습니다 — iPhone: 설정 → Apple 계정 → iCloud → 백업 → 모두 단어 끄기 · Android: 설정 → Google → 백업(기기에 따라 메뉴 이름이 조금 다를 수 있습니다).

1. Items processed

• Without signing in: The app sends nothing off your device on its own (for ads, see section 8). Word lists, words, review history and settings all work on the device. The app does not use photos, the camera, the microphone, location or contacts.
• If you sign in with Modoo ID: Signing in is optional, and every feature works without it. You sign in in your device’s browser window; this app has no sign-up screen and no password field. When it opens the sign-in window, the app tells Modoo ID the app’s display language and your device’s language settings (up to five, for example Korean, English). This is to show the sign-in screen in that language. When sign-in completes, the app receives your member number, username and email address from Modoo ID. Only the member number and username are written to the device. The email address is not written. The sign-in confirmation value (token) issued by Modoo ID is used once to ask who you are and is not kept on the device. This version of the app sends no records to the main service (modoo.io). Even when you sign in, the app does not move your records to other devices or upload them to your account. Records are stored on this device (if you have turned on device backup, the operating system may include them in that backup — section 7). To notice when you have switched to a different account, the app keeps on the device up to two member numbers that have signed in on this device (the last number and the one before it) (numbers, not names or email addresses). They stay after you sign out and are deleted by “Erase records on this device” (if you are still signed in, only the current member number is kept).
• Kept only on the device: Word lists (name, front and back languages, number of new words per day, order of new words, when created and, if the list was made from a word list built into the app, a mark of that list). Words (word, meaning, example, note, star, and, if added from a word list, a mark of that list and whether you edited it, when created and when edited). Review history (for each word, the next day to see it and the values that set that day — memory stability and difficulty, number of reviews, number of times forgotten, when last reviewed, the day first learned). A history of each grading is not kept. Trash (deleted words and word lists, and when they were deleted). Text being written in the “Add a word” and edit windows — deleted when you add or edit, or when you tap “Discard”. Sources of the word lists you added from (name, version, address, license). Settings (display language, the time the day starts, whether the daily review reminder is on and its time, the English accent and reading speed for read aloud, whether you chose to spread overdue reviews over several days and how far that has progressed). One copy of the version of the records file saved just before — if the file breaks while saving, the app restores that version. An unreadable records file is set aside inside the app, not deleted (“Files set aside” in Settings). Text to show in the Android home screen widget (the number of words to see that day and the fronts of the first two words to see, for each day for about the next two months) — the app writes this text to the app’s folder on the device even if you have not placed the widget on the home screen. Meanings, examples, notes, word list names, words in the trash and your Modoo ID are not included. If you turned on the daily review reminder, the reminders that are set (time and the text “○ words are waiting for review”) — on Android they are kept in the device’s notification schedule storage. If you signed in, your member number and username, and the member numbers that have signed in (see “If you sign in with Modoo ID” above).
• What leaves the device only when you tap: Everything below is handed to the device’s share sheet or another app only when you tap that button. You choose where to keep it and whom to send it to; the app does not upload it to Modoo’s servers. “Export records” makes your word lists, words (including review history, notes and stars) and the sources of the lists you added from into one backup file and one text file people can read (word, meaning, example). The trash, text being written, settings, member number and username are not included. “Take out the unreadable file” and “Take the file out as it is” hand over a records file unchanged when the app could not read it (it was damaged, or it was written by a newer version of the app). That file contains all records (trash, text being written, settings and, if you signed in, member number and username). “Files set aside” in Settings appears only when the app has set files aside, and hands those files over unchanged. They contain the same as above. These files are not password-protected. They work without signing in. When sending or exporting, the app briefly keeps the file to hand over in a temporary folder inside the app. It is deleted just before the next export, when you open the app or the day changes after a day has passed, and with “Erase records on this device”. “Import records” reads a backup file you choose on the device and merges it into the records on this device. Records on this device are not deleted (if the same record exists twice, the more recently edited one is kept; if something that was in the trash is in the file, it is restored), and text being written, settings and sign-in are not touched. The copy made inside the app to read the chosen file is deleted right after it is read. “Contact us” opens the device’s mail app with the recipient (apps@modoo.io), the subject (app name and version) and the last line of the body (app version, the device’s operating system and its version, display language) filled in. You can edit it before sending, and you send it yourself from the mail app. “Listen to the word” and other sound buttons hand the front of a word or an example to the device’s speech engine (text-to-speech on Android, voices on iPhone). Meanings and notes are not handed over. The app does not send this text to a server. However, Android’s speech engine is another app installed on the device, so if that engine is set to use online voices, the engine may send the text off the device.
• Advertising: From the first public version, there is information that the advertising company (Google) may automatically collect through the ad tool (SDK) in the app (section 8).

2. Purpose of processing

Records are used only for you to note down English words and see them again on a review schedule. Review history is used to set the next day to see each word. Reminders, when you turn them on, are used to tell you how many words to see that day. Sign-in is used to know which Modoo ID belongs to the person using this device — in this version, that goes only as far as showing your username in Settings and opening the way to Modoo ID account deletion. They are not used for advertising, statistics or personalized recommendations. Records are not read or analyzed.

3. Retention period

Records on the device stay there until you delete them or delete the app. Deleted words and word lists stay in the trash for 30 days, and then the app deletes them for good (when the app starts or the day changes). When you delete the app, the operating system deletes the app’s folder with it (copies included in a device backup follow that backup — section 7). Text being written and files kept briefly when sending or exporting are deleted at the times given in section 1 above. Modoo ID member information follows Modoo ID’s policy. This app keeps no records on the main service.

4. Provision to third parties

Not provided. Anything you send by choosing a recipient in the share sheet is sent by you.

5. Entrusted processing

None. Sign-in is handled by Modoo ID (mid.modoo.io). Information the advertising company (Google) collects through the ad tool in the app is not processing we entrust to it, so it is not listed here (section 8).

6. Overseas transfer

None. This app does not send records to a server. What is exchanged when you sign in follows Modoo ID’s policy. What Android’s speech engine does when it is set to use online voices follows that engine’s policy. Information the advertising company (Google) collects through the ad tool in the app is not something we hand over, so it is not listed here (section 8).

7. Cookies, device storage and device permissions

• Cookies: The app does not use cookies. The sign-in window is the device’s browser, and that browser’s cookies follow the policies of the browser and Modoo ID (on iPhone, the sign-in window shares Safari’s sign-in state).
• Device storage: What is “Kept only on the device” in section 1 is stored as files in this app’s folder. The member number and username are kept together in the settings field of the records file. If you have turned on device backup (Google backup on Android, iCloud device backup on iPhone), the operating system may include these files in the backup — if you set up a new device from that backup, the app may open still signed in.
• Device permissions: Internet (Modoo ID sign-in and ads), notifications (asked only when you turn on “Daily review reminder”), setting the reminders again after the device restarts, and notification vibration. On Android the ads SDK adds network state, advertising ID (AD_ID), Android ad services (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ATTRIBUTION, TOPICS), keeping the device awake (WAKE_LOCK) and foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE — internal SDK work) permissions, none of which are asked of you. The advertising identifier is not used on iPhone and iPad (the app does not show the tracking permission prompt); on Android the ads SDK uses the advertising ID (section 8). The app does not ask for photos, camera, microphone, location or contacts permissions.
• Notifications: The daily review reminder is off at first. When you turn it on, “○ words are waiting for review” appears at the time you set — the words themselves are not included. It does not appear on days with no words to see. Whether it shows on the lock screen follows the device’s notification settings.
• Home screen widget (Android): If you place the widget on the home screen, the number of words to see that day and the fronts of the first two words to see appear on the device’s home screen (that text is drawn by the device’s home screen app). Other people can see your home screen.

8. Advertising

From the first public version, only one Google AdMob app open ad — only for frequent users (after 7 days since installing and more than 5 days on which the app was opened), once a day when you come back through the icon after being away for more than 30 minutes. There are no ads for the first few days or before the first-run guide, and the ad does not cover something you are doing (a screen opened on top of the first screen, a window, text you are writing). The first version has no house ads or rewarded ads, and no usage analytics tool, error-collection tool, payments or subscriptions.

• Advertising company: Google LLC (Google AdMob) — chooses and shows the ad that can appear up to once a day when you open the app.
• What the app does: The app counts, only on this device, when you installed the app, how many days you have opened it, the last day you opened it, when you left the app, and when an ad appeared and how many appeared that day, and decides from these counts whether to show an ad. The app never sends these counts anywhere (not to us either), and they are deleted when you delete the app. Your word lists, words and review history are not put in ad requests.
• What the advertising company may automatically collect through the ad tool (SDK) in the app: Your device’s advertising ID (Android), IP address (approximate location), device and app information, ad impressions and clicks, and the ad tool’s diagnostic and crash information. On iPhone and iPad the app does not ask for tracking permission, so the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used.
• Purpose: To show ads, measure ad performance and prevent fraudulent clicks — and, depending on consent and region, for personalized ads.
• Who receives it and retention: Google processes and keeps it under its own privacy policy. We do not receive this information.
• Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): Users in these regions first see Google’s consent window (UMP), and ads are requested only after that step is completed. If you do not consent, you see non-personalized ads (chosen from things like this app, your approximate location and the time), and depending on your choices ads may be further limited.
• How to refuse or change: Android: you can delete or reset your advertising ID in device Settings › Google › Ads. EEA, UK and Switzerland: you can change your choices under “Privacy & ad choices” in the app’s settings (shown only in these regions).

This section explains the automatic collection tool (ads SDK) installed and operated in the app and how to refuse it (Personal Information Protection Act, Article 30(1)7). We do not hand information to Google or entrust processing to it, so Google is not listed in section 5 (entrusted processing) or section 6 (overseas transfer).

9. How to delete

• Deleting words and word lists: They are moved to the trash. Within 30 days you can restore them from “Trash” on the Word lists tab; after 30 days the app deletes them for good (along with any text being written for that word).
• “Clear review progress” for one word: Turns that word back into a new word not yet studied. The word and its meaning stay, and the cleared review history cannot be restored (it is not kept in the version saved just before either).
• “Erase records on this device” (Settings): Deletes this device’s word lists, words, review history, trash, text being written, sources of the lists you added from, the version of the records file saved just before and files set aside, files kept briefly when sending or exporting, and the member numbers that have signed in. It also empties the home screen widget’s text, and since there are no words left to see, the reminders that were set go away too. Settings (display language, reminders and so on) and the sign-in state stay as they are. It skips the trash, so it cannot be restored; before erasing you can make a file with “Export records”.
• Sign out: Deletes the member number and username kept on the device. Records stay. The member numbers that have signed in (the last number and the one before it) are deleted by “Erase records on this device”.
• Deleting your Modoo ID account: “Delete Modoo ID account” in Settings (shown only when you are signed in) opens the main service’s account deletion screen (https://modoo.io/user/withdraw) in the device’s browser. It does not delete the records on this device.
• Deleting the app: When you delete the app, the records on this device are deleted. If you have turned on device backup, records left in the backup may come back when you reinstall.

Records you delete in the app cannot be restored from within the app. However, if device backup (Google backup on Android, iCloud Backup on iPhone) is on and a backup was made before you deleted them, the deleted records may come back when you reinstall the app or restore your device from that backup. Backups made after the deletion do not contain the deleted records. Device backups are stored encrypted in your own Google or Apple account, and we cannot access them. You can turn off or delete device backups in your device settings — iPhone: Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Backup → turn off Modoo Words · Android: Settings → Google → Backup (menu names may vary slightly by device).

1. 取り扱う項目

• ログインせずに使うとき: アプリが自ら端末の外に送る情報はありません（広告は8）。単語帳、単語、復習の記録、設定はすべて端末の中で動きます。写真・カメラ・マイク・位置情報・連絡先は使いません。
• モドゥIDでログインすると: ログインは任意で、しなくてもすべての機能を使えます。ログインは端末のブラウザーの画面で行い、このアプリには会員登録の画面もパスワードの入力欄もありません。ログイン画面を開くとき、アプリは画面の言語と端末の言語設定（5つまで、例：韓国語、英語）をモドゥIDに知らせます。ログイン画面をその言語で表示するためです。ログインが完了すると、アプリはモドゥIDから利用者の会員番号、ユーザー名、メールアドレスを受け取ります。端末には会員番号とユーザー名だけを記録します。メールアドレスは記録しません。モドゥIDが発行したログイン確認の値（トークン）は、誰であるかを確認するために一度だけ使い、端末には残しません。この版のアプリは本体（modoo.io）に記録を送りません。ログインしても、アプリは記録をほかの端末に移したりアカウントにアップロードしたりしません。記録はこの端末に保存されます（端末のバックアップをオンにしていれば、OS がそのバックアップに入れることがあります — 7）。別のアカウントに切り替えて入ったことに気づくため、この端末でログインした会員番号を2つまで（最後の番号とその前の番号）端末に残します（名前やメールアドレスではなく番号です）。ログアウトしても残り、「この端末の記録を消す」を行うと消します（ログインしたままなら、今の会員番号だけを残します）。
• 端末の中だけに残るもの: 単語帳（名前、表面・裏面の言語、1日の新しい単語の数、新しい単語の順番、作った日時、アプリに入っている単語リストから作った場合はそのリストの印）。単語（単語、意味、例文、メモ、星、単語リストから追加した場合はそのリストの印と編集したかどうか、作った日時と直した日時）。復習の記録（単語ごとに次に見る日とその日を決める値 — 記憶の安定度と難しさ、復習した回数、忘れた回数、最後に復習した日時、初めて学んだ日）。判定ごとの履歴は残しません。ゴミ箱（削除した単語と単語帳、削除した日時）。「単語を入れる」・編集の画面で書きかけの文 — 入れるか直すか、「捨てる」を押すと消します。追加した単語リストの出典（名前、版、アドレス、ライセンス）。設定（画面の言語、1日の始まりの時刻、毎日の復習通知をオンにしたかどうかとその時刻、読み上げの英語の発音と読む速さ、たまった復習を何日かに分けて見ることにしたかどうかとその進み具合）。記録ファイルの直前に保存した版をひとつ — 保存中にファイルが壊れたら、その版で戻します。読めなかった記録ファイルは削除せず、アプリの中に別に置きます（設定の「別に置いたファイル」）。Android のホーム画面ウィジェットに表示する文（その日に見る単語の数と、先に見る単語2つの表面を、この先2か月ほどの毎日分）— ウィジェットをホーム画面に置かなくても、アプリがこの文を端末のアプリのフォルダーに書いておきます。意味、例文、メモ、単語帳の名前、ゴミ箱の単語、モドゥIDは入れません。毎日の復習通知をオンにした場合は、設定した通知（時刻と「復習する単語が○個あります」という文）— Android は端末の通知予約の保存領域に置きます。ログインしていれば会員番号とユーザー名、そしてログインした会員番号（上の「モドゥIDでログインすると」）。
• 利用者が押したときだけ端末の外に出るもの: 以下はすべて、利用者がそのボタンを押したときだけ、端末の共有画面やほかのアプリに渡します。どこに置くか、誰に送るかは利用者が選び、アプリはモドゥのサーバーにアップロードしません。「記録を書き出す」は、単語帳、単語（復習の記録、メモ、星を含む）、追加したリストの出典を、バックアップファイルひとつと人が読めるテキストファイルひとつ（単語、意味、例文）にします。ゴミ箱、書きかけの文、設定、会員番号とユーザー名は入れません。「読めないファイルを取り出す」・「ファイルをそのまま取り出す」は、アプリが記録ファイルを読めなかったとき（壊れていたか、新しい版のアプリが書いたもの）、そのファイルを手を加えずそのまま渡します。そのファイルには記録のすべて（ゴミ箱、書きかけの文、設定、ログインしていれば会員番号とユーザー名）が入っています。設定の「別に置いたファイル」は、アプリが別に置いたファイルがあるときだけ表示され、そのファイルを手を加えずそのまま渡します。中身は上と同じです。これらのファイルにはパスワードがかかっていません。ログインしなくても使えます。送るときや書き出すとき、アプリは渡すファイルをアプリ内の一時フォルダーに少しの間置きます。次に書き出す直前、1日が過ぎたあとにアプリを開いたときや日付が変わったとき、「この端末の記録を消す」のときに消します。「記録を読み込む」は、利用者が選んだバックアップファイルを端末の中で読み、この端末の記録に統合します。この端末の記録は消さず（同じ記録が2つあれば新しく直したほうに・ゴミ箱にあったものがファイルにあれば戻します）、書きかけの文・設定・ログインには手を付けません。選んだファイルを読むためにアプリ内に写したコピーは、読んだ直後に消します。「お問い合わせ」は端末のメールアプリを開き、宛先（apps@modoo.io）、件名（アプリ名とバージョン）、本文の最後の行（アプリのバージョン、端末の OS とそのバージョン、画面の言語）を入れておきます。送る前に直すことができ、送信は利用者がメールアプリで行います。「単語を聞く」などの音声ボタンは、単語の表面や例文を端末の音声エンジン（Android のテキスト読み上げ・iPhone の音声）に渡します。意味とメモは渡しません。アプリはこの文をサーバーに送りません。ただし Android の音声エンジンは端末に入っているほかのアプリなので、そのエンジンがインターネットの音声を使うよう設定されていると、エンジンが文を端末の外に送ることがあります。
• 広告: 最初の公開版から、広告事業者（Google）がアプリ内の広告ツール（SDK）で自動的に収集しうる情報があります（8）。

2. 取り扱いの目的

記録は、利用者が英単語を書き留め、復習の予定に合わせて見返すためだけに使います。復習の記録は、次に見る日を決めるために使います。通知は、利用者がオンにしたときに、その日に見る単語の数を知らせるために使います。ログインは、この端末を使う人がどのモドゥIDかを把握するために使います — この版では、設定にユーザー名を表示し、モドゥIDの退会へ進む道を開くところまでです。広告、統計、おすすめに使いません。記録を読んで分析しません。

3. 保有期間

端末の中の記録は、利用者が削除するかアプリを削除するまで端末にあります。削除した単語と単語帳はゴミ箱に30日あり、その後アプリが完全に削除します（アプリを開いたときや日付が変わったとき）。アプリを削除すると、OS がアプリのフォルダーを一緒に削除します（端末のバックアップに入ったコピーは、そのバックアップに従います — 7）。書きかけの文と、送るときや書き出すときに少しの間置いたファイルは、上の1の時点で消します。モドゥIDの会員情報は、モドゥIDの方針に従います。このアプリは本体に記録を置きません。

4. 第三者への提供

提供しません。利用者が共有画面で送り先を選んで送ったものは、利用者が送ったものです。

5. 取り扱いの委託

ありません。ログインはモドゥID（mid.modoo.io）が行います。広告事業者（Google）がアプリ内の広告ツールで収集する情報は、当社が委託する取り扱いではないため、ここには載せません（8）。

6. 国外移転

ありません。このアプリは記録をサーバーに送りません。ログインのときにやり取りするものは、モドゥIDの方針に従います。Android の音声エンジンがインターネットの音声を使うよう設定されているとき、そのエンジンが行うことはそのエンジンの方針に従います。広告事業者（Google）がアプリ内の広告ツールで収集する情報は、当社が渡すものではないため、ここには載せません（8）。

7. クッキー・端末内の保存領域・端末の権限

• クッキー: アプリはクッキーを使いません。ログイン画面は端末のブラウザーで、そのブラウザーのクッキーはブラウザーとモドゥIDの方針に従います（iPhone では、ログイン画面が Safari のログイン状態を共有します）。
• 端末内の保存領域: 1の「端末の中だけに残るもの」を、このアプリのフォルダーにファイルとして置きます。会員番号とユーザー名は、記録ファイルの設定の欄に一緒に置きます。端末のバックアップ（Android の Google バックアップ・iPhone の iCloud バックアップ）をオンにしていれば、OS がこれらのファイルをバックアップに入れることがあります — そのバックアップで新しい端末を設定すると、ログインしたまま開くことがあります。
• 端末の権限: インターネット（モドゥIDのログインと広告）、通知（「毎日の復習通知」をオンにするときだけ尋ねます）、端末の再起動後に設定した通知をもう一度設定すること、通知のバイブレーションです。Android では広告 SDK がネットワーク状態の確認、広告 ID（AD_ID）、Android の広告サービス（ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID・ATTRIBUTION・TOPICS）、スリープの防止（WAKE_LOCK）、フォアグラウンドサービス（FOREGROUND_SERVICE — SDK 内部の処理）の権限を加え、いずれも利用者に尋ねない権限です。広告識別子は iPhone・iPad では使わず（トラッキングの許可を求める画面を表示しません）、Android では広告 SDK が広告 ID を使います（8）。写真・カメラ・マイク・位置情報・連絡先の権限は尋ねません。
• 通知: 毎日の復習通知は、最初はオフです。オンにすると、決めた時刻に「復習する単語が○個あります」が表示されます — 単語そのものは入れません。見る単語がない日には表示されません。ロック画面に表示するかどうかは、端末の通知の設定に従います。
• ホーム画面ウィジェット（Android）: ウィジェットをホーム画面に置くと、その日に見る単語の数と、先に見る単語2つの表面が端末のホーム画面に表示されます（その文は端末のホーム画面アプリが描きます）。ホーム画面はほかの人も見ることができます。

8. 広告

最初の公開版から、Google AdMob のアプリ起動時広告ひとつだけを載せます — よく使う方にだけ（インストールから7日が過ぎ、アプリを開いた日が5日を超えたあと）、30分を超えて離れたあとにアイコンから戻ったときに一日一回。最初の数日と最初の案内の前は広告がなく、作業中のもの（最初の画面の上に開いた画面・ウィンドウ・書きかけの文）の上には表示しません。自社の告知広告とリワード広告は最初の版にはなく、利用統計ツール、エラー収集ツール、課金・サブスクリプションは組み込んでいません。

• 広告事業者: Google LLC（Google AdMob）— アプリを開くときに一日一回まで表示される広告を選び、表示します。
• アプリが行うこと: アプリをインストールした日時、開いた日数、最後に開いた日、アプリを離れた日時、広告を表示した日時とその日の回数をこの端末の中だけで数え、広告を表示するかどうかを決めます。アプリはこの値をどこにも送らず（当社にも送りません）、アプリを削除すると一緒に削除されます。単語帳、単語、復習の記録は広告のリクエストに含めません。
• 広告事業者がアプリ内の広告ツール（SDK）で自動的に収集しうるもの: 端末の広告 ID（Android）、IP アドレス（おおよその位置）、端末とアプリの情報、広告の表示とクリック、広告ツールの診断・クラッシュ情報。iPhone・iPad では、アプリがトラッキングの許可を求めないため、広告識別子（IDFA）を使いません。
• 目的: 広告の表示、広告の成果の測定、不正なクリックの防止。同意と地域によっては、パーソナライズされた広告にも使います。
• 受け取る者・保有期間: Google が自社のプライバシーポリシーに従って取り扱い、保管します。当社はこの情報を受け取りません。
• 同意（欧州経済領域・英国・スイス）: これらの地域の利用者には、まず Google の同意画面（UMP）を表示し、その手続きが終わったあとにだけ広告を求めます。同意しない場合はパーソナライズされていない広告（このアプリ・おおよその位置・時刻などで選ぶ）が表示され、選択によっては広告がさらに制限されることがあります。
• 拒否・変更の方法: Android：端末の設定 › Google › 広告 で広告 ID を削除・リセットできます。欧州経済領域・英国・スイス：アプリの設定の「プライバシーと広告の選択」（これらの地域でのみ表示されます）で選択を変更できます。

この項は、アプリ内に自動収集の仕組み（広告 SDK）を設置・運用していることと、それを拒否する方法をお知らせするものです（個人情報保護法第30条第1項第7号）。当社が Google に情報を渡したり取り扱いを委託したりするものではないため、5（取り扱いの委託）と6（国外移転）には載せていません。

9. 削除する方法

• 単語・単語帳を削除: ゴミ箱に移します。30日以内なら単語帳タブの「ゴミ箱」から戻すことができ、30日が過ぎるとアプリが完全に削除します（その単語の書きかけの文も一緒に）。
• 単語ひとつの「復習の記録を消す」: その単語を、まだ見ていない新しい単語に戻します。単語と意味はそのままで、消した復習の記録は元に戻せません（直前の版にも残しません）。
• 「この端末の記録を消す」（設定）: この端末の単語帳、単語、復習の記録、ゴミ箱、書きかけの文、追加したリストの出典、記録ファイルの直前の版と別に置いたファイル、送るときや書き出すときに少しの間置いたファイル、ログインした会員番号を消します。ホーム画面ウィジェットの文も空にし、見る単語がなくなるため、設定した通知もなくなります。設定（画面の言語、通知など）とログインの状態はそのままにします。ゴミ箱を通らないため元に戻せず、消す前に「記録を書き出す」でファイルを作っておけます。
• ログアウト: 端末に置いた会員番号とユーザー名を消します。記録はそのままです。ログインした会員番号（最後の番号とその前の番号）は、「この端末の記録を消す」で消します。
• モドゥIDの退会: 設定の「モドゥIDを退会」（ログインしているときだけ表示されます）は、本体の退会画面（https://modoo.io/user/withdraw）を端末のブラウザーで開きます。この端末の記録は削除しません。
• アプリを削除: アプリを削除すると、この端末の記録は削除されます。端末のバックアップをオンにしていれば、バックアップに残った記録は入れ直したときに戻ることがあります。

アプリで削除した記録は、アプリから元に戻すことはできません。ただし、端末のバックアップ（AndroidのGoogleバックアップ・iPhoneのiCloudバックアップ）がオンで、削除する前にバックアップが作られていた場合、アプリを入れ直したり端末をそのバックアップから復元したりすると、削除した記録が戻ることがあります。削除した後に作られたバックアップには、削除した記録は含まれません。端末のバックアップは利用者ご自身のGoogle・Appleアカウントに暗号化して保存され、当社はそのバックアップにアクセスできません。端末のバックアップは端末の設定でオフにしたり削除したりできます — iPhone：設定 → Apple アカウント → iCloud → バックアップ → モドゥ単語 をオフ・Android：設定 → Google → バックアップ（端末によってメニュー名が少し異なる場合があります）。
